“Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other one can help him up. But if someone is alone…., there is no one to help him…Two men can resist an attack that would defeat one man alone.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
What is the purpose?
Celebrate Recovery’s focus is to fellowship, share, and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives. It is a safe, confidential place to share and break free from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups through God’s grace and power. Healing comes through turning our lives over to Christ and by applying Biblical principles, such as the Eight Recovery Principles and the Christ-centered Twelve Steps.
We open the door to healing by sharing our experiences and by accepting God’s grace and wisdom in resolving our struggles. By relying on God and Biblical principles, we begin to grow and mature spiritually. We become free from our dysfunctional, compulsive, addictive behaviors, and habits. This freedom brings peace, joy, serenity, and more importantly, a stronger relationship with God and others.
As we make the journey through Celebrate Recovery, we discover that God is personal, loving, and forgiving. He is our source of strength and hope. God is our higher power! In Celebrate Recovery we truly celebrate changed lives!!
