Our desire for Sunday School is to study God’s Word, care for one another, create a community that lives life together, and cultivate what it means to be a disciple of Christ. In Adult Sunday school, instead of curriculum, we use the Bible. We cover a book of the Bible at a time, studying each chapter in depth Come, visit multiple classes until you find one that you believe will grow you toward maturity in Christ.
Let us work with you to help you find the group that is right for you. Remember, you are free to visit as many cases/groups as you like until you find the perfect fit.

“No Other Gods” by Kelly Minter *Women
Often, idols are obvious—money, power, fame. But subtler idols can sometimes take the form of loved ones, Instagrammable interiors, and busy seasons of work, motherhood, or ministry. But if your heart is prioritizing any of those pursuits before God, you’re missing the unrivaled joy and adventure of Jesus being your heart’s ultimate treasure. Learn to identify the functional gods you may be unknowingly serving and the lies they tell. As you dethrone your modern-day idols, you’ll be set free for the deeper, more abundant life Jesus came to give you—discovering that Jesus can do what no other god can.

“James: Faith Works” by Matt Chandler *Co-ed
The repeated cry of James is that faith apart from works can never be sustained. We should proclaim this truth because faith makes us doers of the Word, not just hearers. When God created the blueprint for the universe, you were already part of the plan. Science and Scripture show you’re a unique, brilliantly designed, and intelligent individual who fills a role no one else can. Labels are dangerous. We live in a society that is constantly trying to confine people to a box. Unfortunately, if you don’t let God help you define your own identity, the world will do it for you. ‘The Perfect You’ was written to counter one of the most damaging aspects of the current mental health system. You will understand the science behind your character that is your ability to think, feel, and choose in a way that aligns with the unique design of your brain. Don’t let anyone else define you by a label–let God redefine you based on how He already created you-for a purpose.

“ Fathered by God” by John Eldredge *Men
What has happened to men in recent years? Why do there seem to be less and less men willing to lead their families and follow God? What has happened to honor and respect? Eldredge answers all these questions . He begins by explaining that most men are uninitiated into manhood, meaning they have been forced into it too quickly or have not taken the proper steps to get there. A common reason for this would be the lack of good men to lead us through the process. This study is facilitated by Bill Turner and will meet in room S201. Cost of book is $10.00
